Almost everyone now has realized that the US is amidst a supply chain shortage for river gear and outdoor recreation equipment. We get it! Everyone has been inside, and wants to go outside. Triad River Tours has excellent relationships with our suppliers, and we are well informed, BUT please know that while most of our equipment is on our shelves, there are situations where we rely on our suppliers to “drop ship” items for us. Even though we always mark “sold out” on products that we know we won’t have, we often do not get notice of this from our suppliers before your order. Please work with us to get you your gear by contacting us before placing any orders for products that aren’t in stock. Also, please be mindful that despite our best efforts to keep everything updated, there are occasional mistakes and glitches that we don’t have control over, that may cause delays or cancellations for products that have broken supply or distribution networks. We are doing our best.
As soon as your order is submitted we will be gathering up an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) for the products in your order. We will let you know ASAP when we can ship out the item. Most of the time products ship out as they are ordered? Why? Because we filled our store with our favorite products in anticipation of the shortage, and we have the advantage of carrying only selective inventory (we only sell products that we have used). This makes our system a lot simpler than some others who have thousands of different products on their website.

Triad River Tours offers professional grade whitewater river running equipment from top suppliers such as Northwest River Supply, Aire, Kokopelli Packrafts, and Aquabound Paddles. All orders placed on our website are handled by our staff in Bellingham, Washington and shipped to you directly, or you may choose to pick up your gear from our Marblemount, WA location (the infamous “guide caboose”).
You will notice that we are not trying to be Wal Mart or Amazon here. The equipment in our store is made up exclusively of gear that has been used by our staff. If you have ran the river with Triad River Tours you will notice that the equipment used by our guides is the EXACT SAME equipment we sell in this store. Because we know the gear and we know and trust our suppliers, we know that we are selling a product that will serve you, and add value to your river experience.
Further, you will notice that several popular items are NOT available in our store. We are FULLY aware that our store is not stocked with the hippest newest thing, and it is not stocked with products with the highest profit margin. Instead, our store is stocked with equipment that not only meets the quality demands of our staff, but also is backed by a quality manufacturer who we can put you in touch with personally should any of your products fail or need warranty work.
Our company takes our responsibility to the public seriously, from the occasional private boater to the daily class 5 kayaker or professional guide, we want to make sure that we are focused on the experience of running whitewater rivers, and not goofing around with gear that you can’t trust, and invariably creates complications, and detracts from your day. Confidence in your equipment is essential when you trust it with your life, and that is the case when it comes to gear. When we have gear that doesn’t consistently stand up to wear and tear and show that it’s adding value; we get rid of it. In the day and age of stressed supply chains, we worked with our suppliers to secure our favorite gear, and stocked our warehouse with it. This way you can be confident that if you are buying a product from our store, you’re buying the same product we have trusted with our lives, and the protocol systems that our guide staff utilizes on our demanding commercial trips. We have ran thousands of successful and fulfilling professionally guided whitewater river rafting trips using the gear on this page (and nothing more). The gear on this page, and sold in our store, is gear we can stand behind, and can attest to its functionality, value, and quality, personally.
Warranty Information: We only stock products from US suppliers that offer robust warranties, with a reputation for standing behind their products. In the case of Aire, and NRS, we have purchased rafts and gear and have seen first hand how these companies take responsibility for their products design, manufacturing, and functionality. We therefore stand behind our suppliers 100% and offer an in house 30 day return, even if you have used the product. If it fails you, we ask that you return to us for a full refund or replacement. We do request that you cover return shipping. This is our expressed guarantee; you may choose to utilize our guarantee OR the warranty that came with your product in the case of failure.
Fees
All transaction fees (typically 3%) are non-refundable to both Triad River Tours and our customer as once the transaction has been authorized by the customer, we cannot prevent this fee from being taken from you. If you have purchased a product in error, we can refund everything but this transaction fee, which is unrecoverable. In the case of fraud the fee can be recovered by way of your credit card company.
